Who is in the driver seat of your life?

Being mindful is being aware of your thoughts, feelings and experiences, moment-to-moment WITHOUT JUDGEMENT.

Which part of you makes judgments? Yes, the ego. Your ego wants to protect you and keep you safe; sometimes going too far and holding you back from experiencing life to the fullest.

When this happens, you need to be aware and shift gears to your spirit’s perspective, the one that has no fears, no limits, and is aware of the bigger picture of your life. Your awareness of who’s running the show in the moment, your ego or your spirit, and then consciously choosing to switch once needed; is what mindfulness is all about. If you deprive yourself of this ability, you are basically depriving yourself of your own freedom.

“Between stimulus and response there is a space.

In that space is our power to choose our response.

In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”

- Viktor Frankl

Meditation helps you create that mental space and set you free, not just from any

negative impact from the surrounding, but also from your own thoughts. It allows

you to slow down your reactions and become more responsive, or better creative with your life circumstances and the people around you. Much of life’s stress and tension is unnecessary. Shakespeare said “There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so”.

With mindfulness, you gain mastery over your thoughts, over your mind, and you become a collaborative component in the process of creating your own life. Life is not happening to you anymore, it’s happening through you.

If you still think meditation is not for you, consider appreciation. Find something

to appreciate, about anything or anyone. Ask yourself “What can I appreciate

here?” and I promise you, if you open your heart and open your mind, you will

always find something to appreciate.

Set yourself FREE with Meditation or Appreciation.
